New commissions for Folio
Folio, the Tinopolis-owned producer, has won commissions from the BBC for a new ten-part run of its popular factual brand Traffic Cops and a one-off special, Motorway Cops.
Traffic Cops is one of the highest rated popular factual strands on BBC ONE, achieving up to 6.5m viewers, making it one of highest rated factual programmes of the year. Using in-car footage of dramatic chases, as well as interviews with the officers involved, the series reveals what life is like for the police teams dealing with speeding drivers, motorway pile-ups and stolen vehicles on a daily basis.
The 10x30’ new series of Traffic Cops is being executive produced by Bruce Lippold. The hour long Motorway Cops was developed by Carson Black and is being executive produced by Matt Holden, who is currently executive producing BBC ONE’s Car Wars.
The commission is the latest win for the company, which is currently producing a 30 minute documentary on the McCartney divorce for ITV1, and is also developing a documentary using unseen home video and photographs of Diana Princess of Wales, also for ITV1.
