Tinopolis subsidiary Folio Productions has won orders from BBC ONE to produce two new series of its peak time, popular factual brands Traffic Cops and Car Wars.
Long running strands Traffic Cops and Car Wars are some of the highest rated factual programmes on the BBC. The current series of Traffic Cops has regularly won its slot, achieving audiences of around 5.6m (26% share).
Traffic Cops (10x30’) and Car Wars (3x60’) are executive produced by Bruce Lippold and Matt Holden, and were commissioned by BBC Factual Commissioner Charlotte Moore.
Steve Anderson, Managing Director of Folio and Mentorn Contemporary Factual, said: “We are delighted that both shows continue to perform strongly in the BBC ONE schedule and that this has been recognised with two new commissions.”
Folio, a Mentorn subsidiary that is part of The Tinopolis Group, specialises in popular factual programming. As well as Traffic Cops and Car Wars, Folio produces Half Ton Clinic for ITV1, ASBO Fever for Sky One and Shops Robbers & Videotape for BBC ONE. Folio’s productions are also distributed worldwide by Mentorn International.
