Folio wins ITV1 Kate Middleton commission

Tinopolis subsidiary Folio Productions has won a commission from ITV1 for a fast turnaround documentary on Kate Middleton’s battle against intrusive press coverage.

Kate Middleton v the Paparazzi (1x30’) asks whether, with newspapers and magazines reportedly offering £25,000 for a shot of Prince William’s girlfriend in a bikini and her lawyers threatening legal action in return, Kate Middleton is destined to become the new Diana.

Kate Middleton v the Paparazzi is being directed by Sandra Oddy, produced by Carson Black and executive produced by Steve Anderson. It was commissioned by ITV Director of Factual Alison Sharman and will transmit later this month.

This latest ITV folio commission follows previous orders such as McCartney vs McCartney programme which drew 4.2m viewers to the ITV1’s 10pm slot late last year, Steve Irwin - A Tribute to the Crocodile Hunter, which was the most watched factual programme over the Christmas period, with 4.6m viewers and Madonna: Million Dollar Babies.
